You know, sometimes in life, you just want to feel like you have a grip on things.

I mean, let’s be real here, life is messy and unpredictable, and it seems like every day there’s a new disaster to add to the never-ending list of things to worry about.

The news is filled with horror stories, the world feels chaotic and it seems like everything is always one step away from falling apart.

Because of all this chaos, it’s not surprising that drinking seems like a solid solution, a quick fix for a problem that seems to have no end.

Because honestly, when everything around us feels like it’s going to hell in a hand-basket, even a few moments of pleasure feel like a godsend.

And with each sip of alcohol, we get a shot of pleasure-inducing dopamine, allowing us to disconnect from our thoughts and feelings and find some sense of peace.

And let’s face it, in a world filled with chaos, even the illusion of peace is a dream.

But here’s the thing, that peace is just an illusion.

It’s not real control.

Drinking only gives us the illusion of control, a false sense of security.

And let’s be clear, that’s all it is — an illusion.

You see, real control is about allowing those thoughts and emotions to move through you, so you can make an informed and thought-out plan of action.

Designing a life with vast amounts of peace and momentary chaos.

Not the other way around.

It’s about acknowledging that you have the power to make changes in your life, to create a world that’s more in line with your desires.

So, you know what they say, sobriety is the first step towards gaining control.

It’s not a guarantee of anything, but without it, you don’t stand a chance.

I mean, think about it, what’s the point of feeling in control if that control is just an illusion?

If you’re not the one pulling the strings, then what’s the point?

That’s like being a passenger on a rollercoaster and thinking you’re in control because you’re holding onto the safety bar.

It’s a false sense of control, and it’s not real.

And you know what, sobriety isn’t just about gaining control, it’s about finding peace and happiness.

It’s about being able to look at life and all its chaos and say, “Bring it on, I’ve got this.”

It’s about taking control of your thoughts, your feelings, and your life, and using them to create a world filled with peace, joy, and bliss.

So, if you’re feeling overwhelmed and out of control, know that sobriety is the first step towards gaining real control.

And, as a bonus, you’ll never have to worry about rollercoasters again.

Because seriously, who needs the thrill of being strapped into a metal death trap when you have the thrill of being in control of your life?
