Welcome to the world of sobriety and mental health, where life is all about making healthy choices and avoiding pitfalls, kind of like playing a game of “the floor is lava.”

And let’s be real, the journey is much easier when you have a sense of humor to help you through the tough times.

Now, when it comes to your environment, you're essentially surrounded by a bunch of factors that have a direct impact on your success, you know what I mean?

And just like playing Jenga, one wrong move can send everything tumbling down.

Without the proper support, of course.

But here's the good news, you have the power to stack the blocks in your favor and you don’t need to wait your turn.

It’s always your turn.

For example, did you know that a study by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism found that people who have close friends who drink regularly are more likely to drink heavily themselves?

So, it's all about surrounding yourself with people who prioritize their sobriety and mental health, just like surrounding yourself with solid Jenga blocks.

Perhaps, the ducks at the park are a healthier group of people to flock to.

And when it comes to willpower, it's like a muscle that can be exhausted, because think about it, if you're constantly being pressured to drink, it's easy to give in to temptation.

Will power is like a muscle and it gives out over time.

I guarantee you there’s no duck you know that’s gonna whisper “Wanna come bob for beers with us at the bottom of the pond?”

That's why it's crucial to cultivate a supportive environment that has your back, as if you're playing a game of Simon says with a group of friends who are all shouting "don't drink!"

You'll find that sticking to your sobriety and mental health becomes much easier.

And finally, let's talk about self-love and positive programming.

A study by the American Psychological Association found that the more you engage in positive self-talk and focus on your strengths and accomplishments, the better you'll feel about yourself.

It's like giving yourself a pat on the back for every healthy choice you make.

It feels weird when you first start doing it then you realize it’s kinda nice.

Like the feeling alcohol used to give you on that hot summer day when the lime hit your lips.

Only, without the sunburn and hangover the next day.

So, surround yourself with positive role models and engage in activities that fuel your subconscious mind, whether it's listening to uplifting podcasts like Beyond Sober, reading inspiring books, or spending time with people who lift you up.

And honestly, if you don't take care of your mind, who will?

If you don’t think intentionally then who’s thinking for you?

So, let's start planting those seeds of self-love today, because you never know when they'll start to sprout and bear the fermented fruit of success.

There you have it, the keys to success in sobriety and mental health.

Remember to surround yourself with positive influences, cultivate a supportive environment, and keep a sense of humor.

And most importantly, keep playing the game of life with a smile on your face, because at the end of the day, life is what you make it.
